We had an official business meeting at Target last night. I don't mean for inspiration, or because we were both out of toilet paper. We just needed a place to meet that didn't close until 11pm that was half way between us that wasn't a bar. Once the house Starbucks shut down we continued our conversation on an elevated dorm room display couch, you know, on an end-cap, not on the ground. This may be the best place to have a business meeting ever,and is probably why they made the movie "Career Opportunities".
What did we talk about? Lots of important stuff, including how to make a gorilla out of felt and pleather. People often ask us how we come up with our ideas. The truth is, we both find things funny that are in slightly poor taste or not necessarily funny unless you think about it on a t-shirt. It turns out that an octopus is totally hilarious when you put a mustache on it and then put it on a baby. This is pretty much what we do. Moving forward we will feature new designs, places we'll be and the stores we love to be in. If anyone's interested, our next monthly planning meeting will take place at IKEA in a MALM bed.
